CPR Courses International LLC (CCI) is a nationally recognized medical training and workforce development organization founded by Frank Cutrone, NREMT and BPSS-certified educator, with the mission of empowering individuals through accessible, bilingual, and career-focused healthcare education. What began as a small, mobile CPR certification initiative has evolved into a multi-state training institution that now serves thousands of students annually across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico.
Our Journey and Growth
Founded in the Bronx, New York, CPR Courses International LLC was born out of a simple but powerful idea: make lifesaving education accessible to everyone. Frank Cutrone—then an instructor serving Spanish-speaking daycare providers through the United Federation of Teachers—saw firsthand how many professionals struggled to obtain quality, affordable CPR and First Aid certification due to language, cost, and scheduling barriers.
From these humble beginnings, CCI began expanding its reach—first training small community groups, churches, and nonprofit organizations, then forming contracts with larger partners such as Mount Sinai Institute for Family Health, Jacobi Hospital, EMS Throgs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Code One Training, and multiple New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) initiatives.
By 2022, CCI transitioned from a mobile training model into a licensed and insured professional training agency, operating from fixed sites across the region. The company’s continued success led to the establishment of multi-site campuses, including:
- 750 Astor Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467 – Headquarters and NYC training center
- 470 Vanderbilt Ave 9th Floor Brooklyn, NY – Connecticut training facility
- 755 Main Street, Building #5, Monroe, CT – Adult Workforce Development and Career Immersion Center
These centers now serve as regional hubs for both certification and advanced medical career training, offering programs in Phlebotomy, EKG, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician (PCT), CNA bridge training, OSHA 10/30, and BLS/ACLS/PALS for healthcare professionals.
Accomplishments and Milestones
Over the years, CCI has achieved numerous organizational and community milestones:
- 20+ Active Training Contracts across schools, hospitals, and community organizations.
- Expansion into Bilingual and Trilingual Training, offering courses in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, meeting the needs of diverse communities.
- Workforce Development Partnerships with agencies including Building One Community, Bridgeport Career Resources, YouthBuild NYC, Alliance Community Empowerment, and Progreso Latino.
- Strategic Collaborations with educational institutions such as Pace University, State University of New York (SUNY), and International Development Institute (IDI).
- Program Diversification, including hybrid models integrating virtual learning, in-person clinicals, and exam preparation through proprietary digital platforms such as EKG Academy Pro and CCI-Avanza.org.
- Launch of the Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) Program, offering free CPR/AED, First Aid, BLS, ACLS, Narcan, and EpiPen Certification for parents, educators, and underserved community members through public–private collaborations.
- Expansion throughout, bringing bilingual Phlebotomy, CNA, and Medical Assistant certification programs to local schools, workforce agencies, and nonprofit sectors.
